rvlme Community Guidelines

Effective Date: July 8, 2026 ยท rvlme.com/community-guidelines

rvlme is built on a simple idea: the best conversations start with a little mystery. You share a Reveal โ€” a live photo locked behind a quiz โ€” and your Receiver has to answer correctly to unlock it. That's it. That's the magic.

To keep that magic alive for everyone, we need a few ground rules. These Community Guidelines apply to every person using rvlme, every Reveal sent, and every message exchanged. They work alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

If something's not covered here, the question to ask is: "Would this make someone feel unsafe, disrespected, or violated?" If the answer is yes โ€” don't do it.

๐Ÿ”ž Who's on rvlme

rvlme is for adults only. You must be 18 or older to create an account. By signing up, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

If we find out you're under 18, your account will be removed immediately. No second chances on this one.

  • Do not create an account if you are under 18.
  • Do not help anyone under 18 access rvlme.

Convicted sex offenders are not permitted to use rvlme under any circumstances.

๐Ÿ“ธ Reveals โ€” Keep It Real

A Reveal is a photo you take live in the app, locked behind a quiz question only you and your Receiver know the answer to. It's personal. It's intimate. Keep it that way.

Once you send a Reveal, it stays on your profile until you choose to delete it. Your Receiver has 24 hours to open and view it โ€” after that, it disappears from their side. If you delete a Reveal, it's gone from both sides immediately.

What makes a good Reveal:

  • Photos taken live in the moment โ€” no uploads from your camera roll
  • Quiz questions that actually mean something between you and your Receiver
  • Content the Receiver would genuinely want to see

What's never okay in a Reveal:

  • Sending intimate, sexual, or nude photos to someone
  • Using a Reveal to harass, pressure, or coerce your Receiver
  • Creating a Reveal designed to humiliate or embarrass someone
  • Sending a Reveal to someone who has blocked you
  • Sending non-consensual intimate imagery โ€” this is an immediate permanent ban
  • Any content involving minors in a sexual context โ€” this is reported to authorities

๐Ÿ’ฌ Messages โ€” Keep It Respectful

After a Reveal is unlocked, the conversation starts. That's the whole point โ€” connection. But how you show up in that conversation matters.

Keep it good:

  • Be yourself โ€” no fake profiles or impersonating others
  • Respect the other person's boundaries
  • Remember there's a real human on the other side

Don't do this:

  • Harassment, bullying, or repeated unwanted contact
  • Threats of any kind โ€” violence, blackmail, or coercion
  • Slurs, hate speech, or content that targets someone's identity
  • Spamming the same message or Reveal to multiple people
  • Pretending to be someone else to deceive or harm

๐Ÿšซ Screenshots โ€” Not on rvlme

We protect Reveals at every stage โ€” during the quiz, at the moment of Revealing, and every time it's viewed. If you try to screenshot, your screen will go black. Every attempt is detected and the Sender is notified.

Attempting to screenshot a Reveal is a violation of these Guidelines and may result in account action. The intent is clear: if you're trying to capture something that wasn't meant to be saved, that's not what rvlme is for.

โ›” What's Never Allowed

Some things are an immediate permanent ban โ€” no warnings, no strikes. These include:

  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) of any kind โ€” reported to NCMEC and law enforcement
  • Sending non-consensual intimate imagery through a Reveal
  • Using rvlme to sexually exploit or coerce another person
  • Credible threats of violence against any person
  • Content promoting terrorism, violent extremism, or organized hate
  • Identity impersonation used to deceive or cause harm

These aren't edge cases. If you do any of the above, you're gone โ€” permanently โ€” and where required by law, we'll report you to the relevant authorities.

โš ๏ธ How Enforcement Works

When a report comes in, we review the specific content that was flagged. If it's a confirmed violation, we log it. You won't be notified โ€” enforcement is silent.

Three confirmed violations and your account is permanently banned. No warnings, no suspensions in between โ€” just removal.

If your account is permanently banned, your phone number and device are also blocked from re-registering. You can't come back.

๐Ÿšฉ How to Report

If something feels off, report it. You can report a user or a Reveal directly from the app. Here's what you can report:

  • Spam
  • Harassment or bullying
  • Inappropriate content
  • Impersonation
  • User may be under minimum age
  • Something else

When you report a Reveal, it won't be deleted while we review it. We preserve reported content until any investigation is complete.

We review every report. We won't always be able to tell you the outcome โ€” but we take every one seriously.

๐Ÿ“‹ How We Moderate

rvlme doesn't proactively scan your Reveals or messages. We act on reports. When a report comes in, we review the specific content that was flagged. For serious or repeated violations, we may also review account-level activity.

We aim to review reports within 24 hours and take action within 48 hours. For the most serious violations โ€” especially anything involving minors โ€” we act immediately and report to the appropriate authorities.

๐Ÿ’œ The Spirit of rvlme

rvlme works because people show up for each other honestly. You share something real. The other person answers something real. That exchange โ€” that moment of genuine curiosity and connection โ€” is what we're here to protect.

Use rvlme to get closer to the people who matter to you. Not to take advantage, not to deceive, not to harm.

Stop chatting. Start revealing. โ€” but do it right.
